our precious princessgrand today
"I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord. Be strong and take courage! Yes, wait on the Lord." (Psalm 27:13-14)
Because our precious princess-grand has a nasty, ole tummy virus, the Glassco Christmas plans are on hold, and the whole clan is praying, watching, and waiting to see what the Lord will do.
Beloved, has the unexpected thrown a monkey wrench into your well-laid plans? Relax. Call on the Lord Jesus. Trust Him to work all things together for His good purposes.

L-R My brothers, Mark and Rocky Christmas morning, 1957
"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need." (Luke 12:31)
|
One Christmas morning many years ago, my mother told my brother, Mark, "Don't shake that present, sugar. It might be breakable."
"It might be eggs," he concluded. "Bet it is eggs."
On the first Christmas morning long, long ago, Father God gave the world His Son, Jesus Christ - the only doorway to the Kingdom of God.
Beloved, "since we are receiving [through faith in Jesus Christ] a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshipping Him with holy fear and awe." (Heb. 12:28 NLT)
Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart!1

My beloved parents, 1944 Mt. Rubidoux, California
The LORD said, "I have loved you, My people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to Myself." (Jer. 31:3)
|
My parents had only been married a few months when Daddy shipped overseas in World War II. As the soldiers passed under the Golden Gate Bridge toward the South Pacific, Daddy said that tears streaked the cheeks of their commanding officer. Over his two year deployment, Daddy and Mother wrote love letters to each other every, single day.
From Moses to the Apostle John, the books of the Holy Bible were written at different times by various authors over a period of approximately 1,500 years - sixty-six love letters from Almighty God, the Lover of people.
You, dear one, are beloved of the Lord. Have you read His love letter today?
