Here Comes the Bride

"Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready." (Rev. 19:6b-7) "This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church." (Eph. 5:32)



         Rebecca and Stephen met the first day of 7th grade and quickly became best friends - a constant through middle school, high school, and college. I remember telling my daughter, "Now, Rebecca, one day when you get married, Stephen can't be your best friend - that would never work!"
         Needless to say, I was wrong, because on April 3, 2004, Rebecca married her best friend.
  
        We are the church of Jesus Christ: His bride. Jesus said, "I have called you friends, for greater love has no one than this, that He lay down His life for His friends." (John 15:15,13)

     Oh follower of Jesus the Christ, know that Jesus loves you so much that He died for you! Therefore live for Him!

Stephen and Rebecca: Best Friends Forever

"And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband...they will see His face...And there will no longer be any night and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever!" (Rev. 21:2; 22:4-5)
