Back Porch Perspective

Coosa River from cabin back porch |
"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." (Phil. 4:8)
Superman and I spent the night at the cabin last night. This morning, he went to work, and Bell and I stayed behind where a golden sun rose over the misty river, birds darted from tree to tree, and a beaver swam in and out of tall reeds. You know, life sure looks beautiful from a back porch perspective.
From a cold, dark prison, the apostle Paul encouraged the Philippian church to have a "back-porch" perspective: to think on things true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise.
Need a beautiful life perspective, beloved? Think on Jesus - the true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent Savior, Lord, and King, who is worthy of praise!
