Our precious toddler-grand
"Before the presence of the LORD; lift up your hands to Him for the life of your little ones." (Lam. 2:19b)
Because the dangerous RSV virus is raging through his daycare, I'm keeping toddler-grand this week. Yesterday, as we tossed acorns from the treehouse and marched a caravan of trucks around and around the playroom, I contemplated the evils of the devil, this world, and his own sinful flesh that will come against this precious little one. Nonetheless, like the Old Testament psalmist, my confident hope is in the LORD.
Beloved, keep on lifting your voice and hands to Jesus, our Helper and Keeper, for the life of your little ones.
I look up to the mountains -
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth!
He will not let you stumble;
the One who watches over you will not slumber.
Indeed, He who watches over Israel never
slumbers or sleeps.
The LORD Himself watches over you!
The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD keeps you all from harm and
watches over your life.
The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever
