Our Dan, Iraq 2009
"Let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation." (1 Thess. 5:8)
Our Dan tells the story that en route to Iraq, a man in a California airport was yelling angry taunts at their U. S. Marine unit when an elderly gentleman wearing a worn WWII veteran cap approached the taunter. Through tears, the old soldier commanded, "You leave our boys alone!"
God built our once great nation upon the backs of brave men and women. On this presidential election day, beloved, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:13) and handle the vote with prayer!
Whatever the outcome, fear not, for Jesus is with His children; be not dismayed, for He is our God. He will strengthen us, yes, He will help us, He will uphold us in His righteous right hand (Isa. 41:10).
