My mama on her 80th birthday

Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our LORD. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." (Neh. 8:10)

A fun time was had by all on a warm, spring day in 2001 when we celebrated Mother's 80th birthday. Although a widow with bone cancer at that time, one word described that remarkable woman: JOYFUL.

If you had to describe God in one word, what would you say? 

God is... 

LOVE

or 

HOLY

or

POWERFUL

or 

GRACIOUS

or

MERCIFUL?

Would anyone say, God is 

JOYFUL? 

Probably not. 

But He is! So, beloved, act like Jesus today and put on a happy face!

LOVE,

JOY,

PEACE,

PATIENCE,

KINDNESS,

GOODNESS,

FAITHFULNESS,

GENTLENESS,

and

SELF-CONTROL.
