"But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and  His righteousness to children's children, to those who keep His covenant and remember His precepts to do them." (Psalm 103:17)

The universal law of cause and effect states that for every effect there is a definite cause, likewise for every cause there is a definite effect.

In a Psalm of David, the King proclaimed God's law of cause and effect: your behavior not only dramatically effects your own life, but also the children after you. 

Cause: Fear of the LORD (live in awe of God) and obey Him.

Effect: God's lovingkindness and righteousness upon you and your children and your grandchildren.

Wanna have a powerfully positive effect on following generations? Fear the Lord and obey His commandments. It's the law.
