My brother Mark and my favorite grandgirl in the old neighborhood atop Lookout Mountain, Fort Payne, Alabama
"You must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, and when you are going to bed and when you are getting up." (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
For all you new followers of the Wonderful Storybooks blog, at the beginning of January, I challenged the kids and grands to memorize a Bible verse each week leading up to our family beach vacation in June. At the beach, Team Stephen, Team Ben, and Team Dan will compete for a prize awaiting the family who hides the most Scripture in their hearts.
And the verse of week #5 is Luke 10:27. "Love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. And love your neighbor as yourself."
So, beloved, how are you teaching God's word to next generations?
