Indiana grands' thank you note to "essential workers"
"...the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the LORD and praising Him for His holy splendor. This is what they sang: "Give thanks to the LORD; His faithful love endures forever.'" (2 Chronicles 20:21)
Over the weekend, our Indiana grands created a huge, beautiful THANK YOU note for health workers, first responders, and other essential workers on the front lines of the coronavirus battle.
In the Old Testament book of 2 Chronicles, when three armies marched against Judah, King Jehoshaphat positioned an out-of-the-ordinary squadron on the front lines: the choir. Yep, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing praises to the LORD.
Why in heaven's name did he do that?
Because the day before, God had told the king through the prophet Jahaziel, "Listen, King Jehoshaphat, do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. The LORD will be with you."
And Jehoshaphat BELIEVED the LORD.
Frontliners, do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take up your positions and stand firm because the Lord Jesus Christ is with you, and we are praying for you!
