Study—Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

My friend, Tammy, and I are on a treasure hunt. She believes that sign gifts ceased with the apostolic age. It is my understanding of Scripture that all gifts of the Spirit listed in Romans 12:4-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:1-10 are still given to mankind today according to the Holy Spirit's bidding (1 Corinthians 12:11).

Rather than agree to disagree, we're imitating the Bereans of Acts 17:11 who "received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." 

Because, the ONLY opinion that matters a hill of beans is God's.
