God's LOVE for the NATIONS

My Rebecca in India, Summer 2001 |
Jesus said,
“You will receive power when
the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
and you shall be My witnesses both in
Jerusalem,
and in all Judea, and Samaria,
and even to
the remotest part of the
earth!”
(Acts 1:8)
I love
this picture! The fair maiden with the radiant smile amongst these beautiful
children of India is Rebecca Jill – my baby girl.
It became evident early on that God had wired her heart
with an uncommon love for the nations. As a middle-schooler, she competed for
the chance to go on mission to Africa with World Vision. It seemed quite the paradox
in our house rules that our adolescent could not go to the mall across town without parental escort, yet she had
our permission to journey to a distant continent far across the globe.
The voice of the Lord continues to call from Isaiah 6:8,
“Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Although my personal international
travels, thus far, have been limited, it has not gone unnoticed that this blog
has been viewed in Russia, Germany, Malaysia, Canada, France, South Korea,
Belgium, Romania, Peru, China, Kuwait, India, Belarus, Netherlands, Australia, Ireland, South Africa, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Indonesia, Ecuador, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Nigeria, Argentina, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Colombia, Pakistan, Guatemala, Dominica, Brazil, Finland, Italy, Portugal, Egypt, Serbia, Japan, Croatia, Panama, Lithuania, Lebanon, Namibie, Oman, Slovenia, Bahrain, Macedonia, Qatar, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Singapore, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Israel, Norway, Morocco, Greece, Vietnam, Ghana, as well as the
United States.
The Lord wired my daughter’s heart with an uncommon
love for the nations because God, our Creator, has an extraordinary,
remarkable, enormous, wondrously breathtaking love for the people of all nations!
Before you were even born, God knew your name. He knew
you (and I) would make mistakes; He knew we would sin. Since the payment for
sin is death and separation from God forever, He loves you so much that God
sent His Son, Jesus, to pay that death penalty for you! Over two thousand years
ago, Jesus died on a cross in your place so that you may receive forgiveness
for your sins and the free gift of never-ending, eternal life with God.
If you don’t have that close friendship with God
through Jesus, please hear me carefully; God wants you close to Him, and He has
a gift for you today! It’s a FREE gift of GRACE – God giving what we do not
deserve and cannot earn. He said to take His gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life by
faith and belief in His Son, Jesus!
Then one day, we will sing a new song
together saying:
“Worthy
are You (Jesus)…for You were slain and purchased for God with Your blood men
from every tribe and tongue and people and nation!” (Rev. 5:9)
Please know that when I see the name of
your country on this little family blog, I pray for you and would love to hear
if you have received God’s free gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Just
leave a comment on the blog or email me at misjill413@aol.com.
