Suffering Cats

"...the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." (James 1:17)


"Suffering cats!"  No call for alarm. Nary one feline, canine, or any other member of the animal kingdom is in danger. We just recently came across the "suffering cats" expression in a 1932 Judy Bolton Mystery that we're reading. It's amazing how far dialogue and characters have shifted across eighty-plus years of literature.

Centuries ago, God wrote a Story—an I-love-you-and-I-will-rescue-you Story. It's called the Bible. The immovable truth in God's story, however, stays the same yesterday, today, and forever.
