"...therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers." 

(1 Peter 4:7)

"May the Lord show you where to be and when to be there" is something I pray for my Dan on his way to work each morning. On Tuesday, as he was leaving for work, he found a neighbor's house on fire from a lightning strike and was able to climb into the attic and put it out with a fire extinguisher before the fire department arrived. Thank You, Jesus!

Today's post echoes Monday's "Really Pray." Over and over and over again in His Word, God tells us to pray.

"Pray without ceasing." (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

"Take heed, watch and pray..." (2 Peter 3:9)

 "Is anyone among you sick?...the prayer of faith will save the sick." (James 5:14-15)

"Pray for one another...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:15-16)

"Always labor fervently...in prayers." (Colossians 4:12)

"Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit." (James 5:16-17)

"Three times a day [Daniel] got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before." (Daniel 6:10)

 "Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." (Luke 5:16)

Beloved, let us pray and pray and pray and pray!
