Something You'll Never Hear on the News

"Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authorities come from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves." (Romans 13:1-2)

These God-inspired words were written to the church at Rome by the Apostle Paul—who later became a prisoner of the Roman government.

Beloved, "the LORD commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the LORD our God for our good always and for our survival, as it is today." (Deuteronomy 6:14)

"Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility." (Zephaniah 2:3)
