Day 6: The Year of Obedience

Today's theme in 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting is: "Obey Jesus." This morning I jotted down some of God's commandments in Scripture. In thirty minutes, I came up with 67:

1.  Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

2.  Love others as yourself.

3.  Trust God.

4.  Submit to God.

5.  Humble yourself before God.

6.  Forgive others quickly as God forgave you.

7.  Guard your tongue.

8.  Be quick to listen.

9.  Fear the Lord.

10. Pray without ceasing.

11. Rejoice always.

12. Give thanks in all circumstances . . . 

67. Be content.

Beloved, what would your life look like if you determined 2021to be the Year of Obedience to God? 

"Today I have given you a choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. So I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying Him, and committing yourself firmly to Him. This is the key to your life. If you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land . . . " (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
