Jesus said, "Come to Me ... Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me ... For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

This morning, I had struggled for thirty minutes trying to hand saw a dead limb from a cherry tree when my superman came home and got the job done in a two shakes of a lamb's tail.

How many times a day do we struggle to do a job on our own when we could call on our Super Savior and have the work done in half the time and effort?

Superman and grandboy

"I will praise You with an upright heart as
I LEARN Your righteous laws. (Psalm 119:7)

The Bible, on the other hand, actually calls owls unclean birds because they are among the predators who eat flesh with blood in it. The books of Isaiah and Zephaniah speak of owls living in wastelands symbolizing barrenness and utter desolation.

So what am I trying to say? Only God's wisdom in His word is the correct lamp to guide us and true light for our path (Psalm 119:105). For "there is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12)

Live life, beloved, by the infallible wisdom of God, not the flawed ways of man.
