My Ben and babygrand,

"Arise, cry aloud in the night at the beginning of the night watches; pour out your heart in the presence of the LORD; lift up your hands for the life of your little ones..." (Lamentations 2:19)
As little kids, a common meal-time prayer at our grandparents' home included the phrase "and bless this food to the nourishment of our bodies." One time, on the way home from a family gathering, my brother asked our parents why our uncle always asked God to bless the "nurses' bodies." J
Parents and grandparents, two of the most powerful, LIFE changing things we can do for our children are first, bring them daily before Almighty God's throne of grace in prayer, and second, teach them to pray to the One who is able to do far more than we could ever ask or even imagine.
On more than one occasion, my adult children have told me, "Mama, if you hadn't been praying for me, I don't know what would have happened." Beloved, God avails much through our fervent prayers. Intercede now for the LIFE of your loved ones.
"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." ~ Martin Luther
