Our oldest grandboy 2010
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth disappeared. And the sea was also gone." (Rev. 21:1)
When the oldest grandboy was five, he discovered a new way to play the trumpet - with his nose! (Wish you could watch the video.)
This evening, as we rapidly approach the end of spring small groups at Church of the Highlands, our group is diving into Revelation chapter 21. The glorious vision of "things to come" closes with the apostle John watching the new Jerusalem come down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her groom.
A loud shout announces, "Look, God's home is now among His people. He will live with them and they will be His people. God Himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever!"
And the One sitting on the throne says, "Look, I am making all things new!"
Wipe your tear-stained cheeks, beloved. One glad day, all your sorrows and pain will be gone forever. Trust Jesus! He's making all things new.
