My parents, 1943 |
“We are all pencils in the hand of a writing God, who is sending love letters to the world.”
Mother Teresa
For two, long years during World War II, my parents wrote letters to each other everyday while Daddy was overseas.
Everyday our lives pen messages to the people around us: family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Are we sending God's love letters into the world?

“The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” (1 John 4:8)
“For God so loved the
world, that He gave His only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him shall
not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“And (Jesus) answered,
‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul,
and with all your strength, and all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
(Luke 10:27)
“But whoever has the
world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him,
how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with
word…but in deed and truth.” (1 John 3:17-18)
“Love your enemies,
and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great,
and you will be (children) of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to
ungrateful and evil men.” (Luke 6:35)
