Years ago, through His living Word, the Lord whispered in my dear friend's ear,  "I'll soon give you a stone and a new name." A few weeks, maybe months, later, her dad found a diamond, and after a thorough, unsuccessful search for the owner, he gave it to Tammy. On July 14, 2007, Ms. Tammy Swido became Mrs. David Lovely.

The second and third chapters of Revelation are Christ's love letters to His bride, the church. In His note to the believers in Pergamum (the city of Satan's throne), Jesus promised victors over darkness and evil a token of His affections: a white stone and a new name.

Does darkness seem to be creeping in on every side, beloved?  Fear not! Cheer up! There's victory in Jesus, and a new name awaits His betrothed - YOU!
