Last week's weather forecast predicted a wash-out for Indiana's Memorial Day weekend, but by God's grace upon grace upon grace, we watched grandboy number one's soccer match on Thursday and grandboy number two's baseball games on Friday. On Saturday, we found the last two parking spots at Olcott Park. On Sunday at church, we heard a beautiful duet by a lady and an amazing 90-something-year-old African-American, former IU music professor followed by a strong Biblical message, and that afternoon, from the shade of the walnut trees, we listened to three grands' backyard spring piano recital.

Today, as we remember the brave who gave their lives for our freedom, I thank You first, Jesus, the One who died for me and set me free forevermore.
