Come Set a Spell

"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends." (Revelation 3:20)

In the picture above, grandboy #4 was just a talkin' to his best buddy, Gabe, the dog. Back in the straw-hat days of the South, neighbors used to invite neighbors to come "set a spell" on the front porch and "chew the fat" (chat in a leisurely way, especially at length).

In the book of Revelation, Jesus invites the lukewarm Laodiceans back into close fellowship with Him. Has your relationship with the Lord cooled, beloved? Look! He's standing at your heart's door knocking. Why don't you "set a spell" and "chew the fat" with your Savior?
