Fruit of the Vine

Jesus said, "Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can to nothing." (John 15:5)



My Phillip and I made an early morning run to the Sylacauga farmers' market and stocked up on luscious, fresh, hand-picked fruits and veggies (and a bag of kettle corn, of course) - the fruit of local farms. The most fun part was meeting the hard-working families cultivating those farms. 

Anyone of them could tell you that a branch cut off from the vine will surely wither, die, and produce no fruit. And any life cut off from Jesus will do the same.

So, dear one,  just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow Him. Let your roots grow down deep into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you are taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." (Col. 2:6-7) "And though our bodies are withering and will one day die and decay, in Jesus, our spirits are being renewed every day!" (2 Cor. 4:16)

Stick with Jesus, beloved, and produce much Kingdom fruit for God's glory!
