the grands "Happy" Easter, 2010 (I love this picture!)
"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:5)
In Genesis 2, the LORD God clearly warned Adam, "You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you will surely die."
It's a cryin' shame, but Adam did not obey. For there was this serpent, you see...
The shrewdest of all the wild animals asked the woman, "Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees of the garden?"
"Of course we may eat from the trees of the garden," she answered. "It's only from the tree in the middle of the garden that is forbidden. God said that if we eat it or even touch it, we will die."
"You won't die!" hissed the serpent. "Au contraire mon soeur. You're lovely eyes will be opened, and you will be like God!"
PICK.
BITE.
SWALLOW.
"Try this, honey. It's delicious!"
And Adam also ate the devil's lie - hook, line, and sinker.
What is Satan whispering in your ear, beloved? What is he tempting you to do that God says don't? Well, DON'T!!! The consequences will be deadly.
