Red, White, and Blue

Jesus said, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life...Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" (Matthew 6:24-26)

The calendar says its spring yet snow still covers midwestern cornfields like powered sugar over donuts. Last week, after my Rebecca asked Jesus to make a little bluebird pose for a portrait, she snapped this red, white, and blue "Masterpiece."

Almighty God of the universe who cares for birds of the air and a young woman's prayers cares for you, beloved. Learn to lean on Him.
