Portrait of JFK by Aaron Shikler

"Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative to do it for them. Add up God's Law and Prophets and this is what you get." (Matthew 7:12, The Message)

On January 20, 1961 in John F. Kennedy's well-remembered inaugural address, the new president challenged citizens: "My fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."

And today, February 20, 2020, I challenge you, my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ: "Ask not what God can do for you; ask what God can do for others through you!"

Selah.
