my Jesus, my Phillp, and me
September 10, 1977

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20)

"It was nine o'clock in the morning when they crucified Him.
An inscription announced the charge again him.
It read, 'The King of the Jews.'
Two criminals were crucified with Him,
one on His right and one on His left.
So the Scripture was fulfilled that says:
And He was counted among outlaws.
Those who passed by were yelling insults at Him,
shaking their heads...
In the same way, the chief priests with the scribes were
mocking Him...saying,
'He saved others; He cannot save Himself!
Let the Messiah, the King of Israel,
come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe.'
Even those who were crucified with
Him were taunting Him.
When it was noon, darkness came over the whole land
until three in the afternoon.
And at three, Jesus cried with a loud voice,
'Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?'
which is translated,
'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?'...
Someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine,
fixed on a reed, offered Him a drink, and said,
'Let's see if Elijah comes to take Him down!'
But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed His last."
(Mark 15:25-37)

"His appearance was so disfigured that
He did not look like a man,
and His form did not resemble a human being."
(Isaiah 52:14)

"He was pierced because of our transgressions,
crushed because of our iniquities;
punishment for our peace was on Him,
and we are healed by His wounds."
(Isaiah 53:5)

Beloved, we are the reason that He gave His life. Open your heart's door to Jesus!
