Are You Willing?

My Mother and Daughter, late 1980s |
“Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her. How
often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her
chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.” (Matt. 23:37)
As
soon as Jesus was approaching, near the…Mt. of Olives, the whole crowd…began to
praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen, shouting:
“Blessed
is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace
in heaven and glory in the highest!”...
When
Jesus approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, saying,
“If you had known in this day…the
things that make for peace…For the days will come upon you when your enemies will…surround
you and hem you in on every side…because you did not recognize the time of your
visitation.” (Luke 19:37-44)
Jesus longs to
gather you under His everlasting arms. Are you willing?
