Red Sky at Morning

Jesus said, “You know the saying, ‘Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow; red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.’ You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the signs of the times!” (Matt. 16:2-3)
At 5:55 a.m.
CST, an aura of pink glowed over the eastern horizon heralding the coming
sunrise. Red sky at morning, sailors take
warning I thought to myself. Later, I read today’s headlines: “North Korea
Threatens to Attack US”.
Two thousand
years ago, as Jesus sat on the Mt. of Olives, His disciples came to Him and
asked, “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” Jesus
answered and said, “See to it that no one misleads you. You will hear of wars
and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for these things must take
place.” (Matt. 24:3-6) “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on
earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I command you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end
of the age.” (Matt. 28:19-20)
In these red-sky-at-morning days around our world, let us love the Lord our God, obey His voice, hold fast to Him (Deut. 30:20), and do His business until He returns (Luke
19:13)!
