"Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit." (1 Thess. 5:16-19)
Upon a recent potentially dangerous situation for one of my kids, fear knocked at my door.
I prayed.
God answered, "Satan just shot a fiery-fear dart at you, Jill. Raise that shield of faith and quench it! Trust Me."
And the moral of this story is: Fear quenches the Holy Spirit, but faith in Jesus quenches fear!
