Obedience: a Blossom of Love

Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will obey My commandments." (John 14:15)













             As is our tradition, when the grandkids left this morning, I asked them, "Are you going to obey your parents and keep loving Jesus?" They all answered, "Yes!", and then I hugged them and gave each a one dollar bill. 

             The questions should have been reversed because loving Jesus yields obedience to His commands to:

                                       obey parents 
                                or 
           be kind to others
                                            or 
                                       forgive others 
                                                               or 
                        love the unlovable 
                                            or
                                                   do not lie
                                            or
                 think of others more highly than yourself
                                                              or
                           do not be prideful
                                                or...

Are you loving Jesus today?
