My Glad Decision

Our kids and grands fun, family car wash

"Giving them...the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of despair." (Isa. 61:3)

After a week-long chain of conversations with suffering friends, yesterday, I felt lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut; but today, I made the glad decision. I'm glad that...

"Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered...
whose sin the Lord will never count against them!"
(Rom. 4:7-8)

I'm glad that I believe...

"God gives life to the dead and
calls into being things that were not!"
(Rom. 4:17b)

I'm glad that I'm...

"fully persuaded that God has the power
to do what He has promised!"
(Rom. 4:21)

I'm glad that we can

"glory in our sufferings, because
we know that suffering produces perseverance;
perseverance, character;
and character hope.
And hope does not put us to shame, because
God's love has been poured out into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit,
who has been given to us!"
(Rom. 5:3-4)

Now, aren't you glad you read this post! J

Some glad morning when this life is over
I'll fly away
To a home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away

I'll fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah, bye and bye
I'll fly away

Just a few more weary days and then
I'll fly away
To that hole where joy will never end
I'll fly away

I'll fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah, bye and bye
I'll fly away1
