The Storm Before the Calm

The Phillip Glassco Clan
Ft. Morgan Beach 2015

"We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through..." (2 Cor. 1:8 NLT)

This week's fabulous family vacation was phenomenal; but the week prior, fierce storms raged before the calm: uti, punctured hand, vitreous detachment, migraine, vomiting, diarrhea, and literal torrential thunderstorms.

God's blessings don't often come on silver platters. Yes, He gave His children the Promise Land, but the Israelites fought 31 kings in the process.

The Apostle Paul wrote: "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in our troubles...we were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it...But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely on God...and He rescued us from mortal danger, and He will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in Him and He will continue to rescue us." (2 Cor. 1:3-10)

Beloved, does a wall of resistance loom between you and God's blessing? Fight the good fight and keep the faith! You may be within hours of taking possession.
