The Papa Chase

Our first year back in Alabama in '93, my Phillip had a long, tiring commute back and forth to work and limited time with our kids. One afternoon, he took off a little early to come play outside with Rebecca, Ben, and Dan before nightfall; but less than a mile from home, a train blocked the roadway. Watching the sun chase the horizon, our superman parked the car, crawled under a train trestle, and then hiked up Roper Hill through the woods to get to his family.

In Psalm 23, King David sang about God our Father relentlessly pursuing the children He loves.
