Life is Like a Jelly Bean

"How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like a morning fog- it's here a little while, then it's gone. What you ought to say is, 'If the Lord wills, we will do this or that.'" (James 4:14-15)

Christmas Day, the kids and grands played a new game: the Jelly Bean Game. Each player spins the pointer on a color wheel and then eats a jelly bean of the corresponding color. The catch? there are two flavors for each color: one yummy and the other extraordinarily yucky. For example: black jelly bean flavors are licorice or skunk!

A New Year is like a jelly bean - you never know the what you're getting until you sink your teeth into it. Will 2016 be great or bad, happy or sad? We may not know what the future holds; but the ones who know Jesus, know who holds the future!
