Our grandboy #3
back home from the store

"So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:13)

So what happens when a memaw sends a granddaddy and  a grandboy to the store for tomatoes? They come home with toy trucks, a huge beach ball, water balloons, bubble soap, and NO TOMATOES!

In the gospel of Luke, after hearing Jesus pray, one of His disciples said, "Lord, teach us to pray!"

Jesus told them this story: "Suppose you went to a friend's house at midnight, wanting to borrow some bread, but the friend says, 'Don't bother me. The door's locked and my family and I are in bed.' For friendship's sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he'll get up and give you what you need. So I tell you, keep on asking God with shameless persistence and you will receive what you need. You fathers - if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly give the Holy Spirit to those who asks Him."

The first step in having your prayers answered, beloved, is relationship with Father God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. When you ask for relationship, God gives you the Holy Spirit - your Counselor, Paraclete, Guide, and Friend.

New book update: While making the final polishes on the new book before submitting it to the publisher at the end of June, I changed the title - yes, again. And the latest, greatest title is:

Coosa River Christmas
