God Answered with a Hurricane!

My Dan and me |
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known
unto God!”
Philippians 4:6
Philippians 4:6
“And my God will supply all your needs
according to
His riches in glory in Christ Jesus!”
Philippians 4:19
At Parris Island, the final trial for rite of passage from recruit to US Marine
is “The Crucible” – a 54-hour, grueling test of
physical and mental strength where candidates travel 48 miles on foot, carrying
45 pounds of gear, negotiating numerous obstacles, and resolving copious
problems, all the while deprived of adequate food and sleep!
As the day
approached for our son, Dan, to brave and conquer his Crucible, I asked multitudes of
friends and family to pray, asking God to grant good weather!
God answered our prayers and wisely sent…
a hurricane!
Omniscient Father God
knew the needs of those young men and
women better than their storm-tossed, anxious mothers. New Marines
needed preparation for the hostile conditions of war and NOT a pleasant romp around the island like scouts at camp!
Take
every need to God in prayer and trust His answers!
"I
can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
Philippians
4:13
Thank You, Lord, for hurricanes!
