SNOW!!!

“God thunders with His voice wondrously,
Doing great things, which we cannot
comprehend.
For to the snow He says, “Fall on the
earth,’
And to the downpour and the rain, “Be
strong.’
He seals the hand of every man
That all men may know His works!”
Job 37:5-7
Yesterday, my eyes beheld a
southern rarity: snowflakes skipping merrily across the wind like frolicking calves released from the stall. The beauty of God’s creativity enthralled me.
“I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly
exalted…
The Lord is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation
This is my God, and I will praise Him…
Your right hand, O Lord, is majestic in
power…
Who is like You among the gods, O Lord?
Who is like You, majestic in holiness,
Awesome in praises, working wonders…
The Lord shall reign forever and ever!!!
(“The Song of Moses”, Exodus 15:1-18)
I
added a log to the fire before heading to bed and peeked through the lace
curtains to discover a snow-globe-like wonderland. Crystal flakes, swirling and
dancing in the darkness, had begun to stick, covering the branches of the
Fraser firs and the ground. Powdery, white front porch steps looked as if a
baker had sprinkled them with confectioner’s sugar.” 1
