A Very Present Help

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” (Psalm 46:1-2a).

Ever since our son, Ben, was in the 6^th grade, I’ve called Psalm 46 “Ben’s Song” because I sang it to him while I dressed his painful wound from an infected appendectomy. As you can see from this college football portrait, he fully recovered and grew in stature and strength! J
