Friends Forever

“There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Prov. 18:24)

       I love this picture of my children and their best buddies taken after they found a baby bunny in our backyard. In John 15:15, Jesus said that He no longer called His disciples slaves but He called them friends. For now in Christ Jesus, we who were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace (2 Cor. 13-14).

       God so loved you that He gave Jesus so that you might have eternal life if you believe (John 3:16). The Scripture says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness” and he was called a friend of God (James 2:23).
