Gentleness

"Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near." (Phil. 4:5)

"Gentleness" appeared in three separate passages of Scripture across my Bible reading this morning.

"Yes, Sir, Lord Jesus. I hear You loud and clear."

Because my tone in Tuesday night Bible study sounded more brash than gentle, I especially needed God's reprimand today. For...

"The Lord's bondservant must not be quarrelsome, but kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of truth." (2 Tim. 2:24-25)
