Our children and friends on Robin Hood Lane,
 ready for school, 1990

"And Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which means Son of Encouragement), and who owned a tract of land, sold it and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet." (Acts 4:36-37)

Life comes in seasons. One very special season for my family fell between 1989 and 1993 when we lived on Robin Hood Lane in Pine Bluff, AR. Even though 20 years have passed, Monday night, one of those beloved, former neighbors emailed this most encouraging note:

"Secrets of Shiloh finally arrived on my door today. Congratulations on such a well written book! I've anxiously read every word and will do so again to grasp well all the truths you've presented and to ponder your questions more fully. We discussed in Sunday School recently what a parable is - the definition being, an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Seems that is just what you have written..."

Thank you, Sissie, for being a timely "Barnabas" to me!!!

Today, let's all follow Barnabas and Sissie's examples:  encourage one another and build each other up! (1 Thess. 5:11)
